MY REPORT.

I was very honoured to have been invited to judge at your specialty again.
I would like to thank you all for a truely lovely weekend.

I wish to thank Anne Mette for organising my trip, everything went so smoothly, it was flawless.

Nanna and Bjorgulf thank you for giving up your time to transport me to and from the station in Oslo, it was a pleasure getting to know you, and Nanna I apreciated your patience while writing my critiques.

A very important person in the proceedings is the ring steward. Arne Johan you were just great. You guided me through procedures so perfectly over the two days, leaving me free to consentrate on the dogs.

I can honestly say I was impressed with the quality of your dogs, the standard  was very high throughout and as normal the bitches were overall better than the dogs.

I was very pleased with your champions both male and female. Each and everyone of them was worthy of their titles. This is a bit unusual as one can normally find one or two with little question marks, but I am happy to say not so on this occassion.

Temperments were good with only a few dogs displaying  some shyness/nervousness, sometimes a little extra socialising can help in this region.

You may have noticed I was pleased with heads, (from the number of dogs I asked back into the ring) there was a high percentage of good ones to choose from.

I feel bites are increasingly becoming a serious concern. There are simply not enough correct sissors bites, which I fear may now be a world wide problem. This most important aspect of our breed  will in my view have to be rectified before it becomes to late. Please give it urgent consideration in your furture breeding programes.

It did strike me how different "lines" seem to be developing. In itself this is normal and one would expect it, but as I found a lot of variation in type across the classes, i would hope this difference would not become too great. We know there can only be "one correct type".

Movement was consistently good throughout, I was realy impressed.

My overall view of the breed in your club is favourable, and I do feel it is in safe hands.

Again thank you all for a memorable weekend.
